CMAV is one of Nashville’s top corporate event AV providers, and we’ve helped host thousands of meetings, conferences, webinars, and seminars. The right audiovisual equipment can keep audiences engaged and amplify your message!

Over the years, we’ve seen some doozies… These hidden AV challenges hold even the best speakers back. Learn from their mistakes! We’ll help, too:

  1. Font Freakout

Fonts often change during export, and PowerPoint is one of the biggest culprits! From silly font swaps to fully unreadable symbols, we’ve seen it all. A professional audiovisual production company will always run your pre-event test and media check to look for exporting issues and troubleshoot last minute fixes.

  1. Dirty Desktop

You’ve just laid the framework with a solid pitch, and now it’s time to switch apps to the closing video. Uh oh… why is it stuck on your desktop with a billion files and that silly family picture at the beach. Now the crowd’s focus is gone. (And that’s why we recommend a video switcher screen for all meeting AV rentals!)

  1. Pixel Pause

AV for virtual events, hybrid meetings and webinars add another level of complexity. Some corporate event planners try to cut costs by using complementary Wi-Fi or setting up their own hot spots, but cell reception is notoriously bad in hotel conference rooms. To keep things running smoothly, corporate AV should always have a hardwired house line.

  1. Spendy Sub

Who forgot the power strip!? Most Nashville event venues and hotels will help you find a last-minute backup, but you should expect it to come with a big bill. (We’ve seen it stretch as high as $200…) Instead, a corporate AV provider will take all the stress out of setup and make sure there’s a backup (or two!) onsite.

  1. Mike’s Mic

Mike’s a loud, outgoing guy, and he insists that he doesn’t need a microphone. But in the world of live event AV, we’ve seen a million Mikes – and yes, they’d all benefit from a microphone. The best audiovisual company will support event speakers and teach them how to feel more comfortable using a microphone. Plus, skilled AV techs control the board in real time to keep audio balanced and clear, especially for recording and livestreaming.

Any other AV concerns or challenges? CMAV can take them off your plate.
